Hiya! I’m Scarlett. I teach in Rainham & Rochester Kent. I’ve been Zumba-ing since 2012- going to every class I could shimmy my butt to! Wanted to loose baby weight. Hid at the back row- ended up creeping my way to front row & actually invited up on stage to demonstrate with the instructor! I joined the team!! I finally became an instructor April 2016- I absolutely love teaching Zumba classes! It’s the best job in the world Every class feels like a party! Have made so many friends. Look forward to every class to see them all. I am currently licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Burst, Zumba Kids & Zumba Kids jr & Zumbini babies & caregivers too- never too young to ‘Feel the Beat’!

Lizzie began learning dance from age 4 and performing professionally. At 19 years old she began her Yoga journey and has been teaching in schools, private groups and one to one sessions.  Lizzie was trained by Tara Stiles in London to guide Strala Yoga which combines the movements, forms and wisdom of Tai Chi, Yoga, Qigong, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, as a way to help people release stress, heal, and move more easily through all kinds of challenge.   She also teaches a Specialised sensory Yoga method, designed by the training school ‘Yotism’ to enhance the lives of those with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) symptoms. Lizzie is also certified in Reiki and Indian Head massage).

Our class will be a relaxing journey through a GENTLE Strala Yoga session. Participants are guided to follow how they feel, finding their most natural and comfortable way to move through the flowing sequences.

My classes follow the cycles of the moon to help us align with the divine energy supporting us at all times. When we allow ourselves to tune into the cycles of the moon our lives can flow much more smoothly. Supported with an uplifting soundtrack each class is designed to help you feel balanced and re-energised. Class will start with a guided crystal meditation. Sophrology or ‘dynamic relaxation” involves a combination of gentle movements, breathing and visualisation exercises.
It is a structured method to help you face daily challenges, improve your life quality and restore harmony between body and mind.
Sophrology suits everyone no matter your health condition, physical or emotional state, sophrology is a simple yet effective method which can be tailored to your specific needs.
It is usually practiced sitting or standing with your eyes closed. It can also be practiced lying down or with your eyes open if you feel uncomfortable closing them.
At the end of the session I will invite you to discuss what you experienced if you are happy to share it.

Sophrology has been widely used across Continental Europe for more than 65 years in schools, sports, hospitals and corporate environment.

My children’s yoga sessions have a clear structure and I use a visual timetable to be inclusive of all children’s needs. We learn how to be still with breathing techniques. We learn postures through games and songs. We learn to be calm with stories and relaxation. My sessions are inclusive to all and meet everyone’s individual needs. Children quickly gain awareness of their bodies and emotions and how to regulate them as well as gain confidence and courage as they communicate with the group or have a go teaching themselves. No need to bring your own mat as I provide all props.

Freestyle Fitness Yoga is all about strength and functional movement, mixing traditional yoga postures, stretches and balances with fitness principles. Using a synchronisation of movement, breathing and focus you will improve your flexibility, strength and stability. Sessions will conclude with a short of relaxation, allowing you to rest your body and mind.

This style of yoga is for every ability however is not suitable for pregnant women.

TRE Tension, Stress & Trauma Release Exercises

Tension, Stress and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) are a new way to help us let go of trauma, stress and deeply held, negative patterns.
A great way to sum up TRE is ‘mindfulness for the body’. We do not need to remember the story of trauma to feel better, we let the body do the talking. This can be a great relief. No explanations or analysis, just slow, simple, body release.
The exercises are not strenuous. TRE is not a competitive gym workout, and does not stress the body. Neither do they exclude any body size or age. They are slow and simple movement designed to slow us down and invite quiet listening to the inner signals from the body.
The goal of the exercises is to start a gentle tremoring, vibrating or shaking process. This generally starts in the legs and pelvis. The tremors are natural and profound in nature and feel very instinctive. They help us release old, stored stress patterns from the cells and opens up the nervous system in order to discharge tension held in the body.
Think of your dog coming to sit next to you to shake off fear when the fireworks are going off. We have this natural mechanism too – TRE invites us to use it to release our nervous system.
Trauma can be anything that overwhelms us. This could be cumulative daily stress (small ‘t’ trauma) or stressful single events such as a car accident or sudden bereavement.
TRE can help us process and digest life. It helps us increase our window of tolerance on the world so that when stressful events occur, we have reduced our ‘triggers’ which are often stuck in patterns of fight, flight and freeze. These triggers can frequently show up as anger, insomnia, feeling on ‘red alert’, recurring anxiety and physical complaints such as IBS and migraine.

Please bring a yoga mat with you & wear loose fitting clothing.
