Less is Progress

Speaker: Chris Lovett

Sunday – 10:30-11:30am

FREE TALK

Spaces will be available on a 1st come, 1st served basis on the day of the event

We all have too much stuff. Britain’s clutter is estimated to be worth up to £81 Billion. Our physical, digital and mental clutter stops us from reaching our potential and I relay my story in a lighthearted way from cluttered life to selling everything I owned. I share details of how people can live more with less and how to let go of the things that no longer add value.

Chris is a writer, speaker, simplicity coach and minimalist with a story to tell. My first book ‘Discovery of Less’ is due out shortly and details my journey from a busy, debt covered, stressful and unfulfilling life to selling everything and quitting my job to unlock my own potential. His most recent talks have taken place at NatWest, PwC and FirstCo with the last appearance being just before lockdown at the Mindful Living Show in London. Corporate teams enjoy removing work from their lives and individuals get an uplift in their wellbeing and wallet by letting go of their physical and mental clutter. This lifestyle and approach to living will be more in demand after spending so much time at home. We have all reached a crossroads understand what is important in our lives. We’ve seen that the rug can get pulled out at any minute so there will be more demand for turning aspirations into achievements. The best way to do this is to let go of the past. To let go of the crap that we’re keeping ‘just in case’. A minimalist lifestyle will enhance everyone’s wellbeing.

The Science of Safety – Understanding the healing power of the vagus nerve

Integrative Therapy Solutions

Speaker: Kate Munden

Sunday – 10:30-11:30am

FREE TALK

Spaces will be available on a 1st come, 1st served basis on the day of the event

What helps us feel truly safe? Feeling safe is critical in order to live well and optimise our full potential.  We need to feel safe to live a full and rounded life – particularly during a global pandemic.  The smooth running of our ‘internal safety signals’ are vital for mental and physical health.   These help us access happiness, creativity and joy along with physical growth and restoration.  The Polyvagal Theory explains how social behaviour turns off our defences and promotes opportunities to feel safe.  It helps us understand the importance of our physiological state when trying any treatment – talk therapy, energy or body work.  Interventions that target the capacity to feel safe can be vital in treating lingering, core issues.  In this introductory talk we will explore the basic understanding Polyvagal Theory and how it can demystify symptoms related to  diagnoses e.g.,PTSD, autism, depression, and anxiety disorders. You will also learn some simple tools to improve your ‘vagal tone’.

A can do overcome anything positive talk. Relatable, passionate and heartfelt with content from start to finish that everyone in the audience can identify with and most importantly take away with them. We don’t hear any success stories about those overcoming Mental Health Conditions. No one explains how they did it, how long it took, the emotions and importantly what happens after. Loving Life

I’m Sefik Villasante and I am a coach, speaker and author , but most importantly I am the survivor of 2 suicide attempts. That right I said it as casually as £20 of unleaded on pump No3 . The thing is no one talks about it . And crucially no one talk about the success stories of those who have come out the other side, successful, confident and with a can do attitude. I’m passionate about breaking down the stigmas and taboos associated with poor mental health and talk in a Positive, Upbeat and crucially a relatable manner. I’ve spoken over the last 4 years frequently on radio stations, online wellbeing seminars, asked to guest speak at fund raising events and featured a number of time year on year in local press. Always promoting a can do, overcome attitude .

The hidden signs of burnout and what you can do about it right now

The Anti Burnout Club

Speaker: Bex Spiller

Sunday – 3:15-3:45pm

FREE TALK

Spaces will be available on a 1st come, 1st served basis on the day of the event

Adapted from my most popular podcast episode https://theantiburnoutclub.com/do-you-recognise-these-12-hidden-signs-of-burnout-episode-3/

I’d like to discuss some of the lesser known signs of burnout and how we can stop this chronic stress in its tracks by fitting in self-care when it works for us – as opposed to having to make tons of free time for it which can often be overwhelming.

In 2014 I won a Mind Media Award for a documentary I was in called Diaries of a Broken Mind, capturing what life was like with agoraphobia.
I have always spoken about mental wellness, including writing for Time to Change and HuffPost in the past.

I now speak every single day in my community and on social media, with 100s of people watching my daily lessons or Live talks.

Details of more talks & workshops to be announced very soon.

Please follow our social media pages to be updated as classes are announced.
